Integrated approach: success factor for precast metal facades

Next Wednesday, October 16, the talk show "Integral approach: success factor for precast metal facades - Faster, better and more sustainable facade solution" will take place at the PREFAB trade fair in the Brabanthallen in 's-Hertogenbosch.

Henk Zoontjens, director of the VMRG, the trade association for metal facade construction, will be the talk show host discussing precast facades with three facade builders. How are metal elements used in precast facades? How does such a process work? What are the advantages? 

Gable Builders

Short presentations by facade builders on precast facade construction will alternate with questions, conversations and discussion with guests. Guest speaker Eline Roo (Rollecate) zooms in on a precast façade with concrete and discusses efficiency in the process. Maarten Tielemans, (Blitta) focuses on the hsb precast façade and on quality. Jeroen Bergmans (Scheldebouw) talks about element facades and explains how precast construction contributes to sustainability. 

Knowledge partner

The VMRG is knowledge partner of the PREFAB trade fair. Since both this trade fair and the VMRG aim to share knowledge and inspiration, the VMRG has joined this trade fair as a knowledge partner. Within the building prefabrication sector, a lot of attention is paid to the facade and facade elements. This is of course partly prompted by the enormous construction and renovation task. In addition, the demand for quality and durability, also in the field of facades, is increasing hand over fist. 

Facade elements

At trade fair PREFAB, facade elements have been part of the Modules and Components segment since the start of the knowledge platform (2019), both on the exhibition floor and in the knowledge program. Both within high-rise and regular (ground-level) housing construction. The design of the façade elements is diverse, but always an integrated application for either high-rise or ground-level/stacked construction. 23% of the visiting professionals have a primary focus on modules and components.

Renovation & Transformation

In addition to being a knowledge partner of the PREFAB trade fair, the VMRG was also a knowledge partner of the Renovation & Transformation trade fair held last May. At the Renovation & Transformation trade fair on May 15, the VMRG organized the talk show 'Added value with circular facade renovation - Unprecedented opportunities in metal facades'. VMRG director Henk Zoontjens (center in photo), addressed the discussion on how circularity can play the leading role in facade renovation. He did so with guest speakers (from left to right on left bench) Ron Jacobs of Jansen AG, Han Blom of BAM Nederland BV, (from left to right on right bench) Thijs de Goede of Alba Concepts and Jeroen van der Roest of Hydro Building Systems Netherlands. Short presentations were interspersed with statements. All this with a large audience of about 75 listeners who then had the opportunity to chat over drinks.
