Slim steel system for innovative architecture

This spring the Orangery of Tuin de Lage Oorsprong was opened in Oosterbeek. A building with a special facade shape that could be realized thanks to the RP-ISO-Fineline facade system.

RP Technik develops innovative steel facade systems for exterior and interior applications. Headquartered in Bönen, Germany, and represented by Sanoco Gevelystemen in Belgium and the Netherlands, the company offers system solutions in the field of steel windows, doors and curtain walls. Through close contact with architects and a focus on innovation, Sanoco | RP Technik also provides answers to complex construction questions.

Architectural possibilities

One of its most recent innovations is the RP-ISO-Fineline, the slender and slim insulated steel system for windows and doors.

In April they introduced the new turn/tilt system and at the Polyclose trade show, Jan. 15 and 16  2020 in Ghent, it is presenting the new line of doors. "The system is ideally suited for renovation projects and luxury residential construction," says director Johan Camps. "Where many aluminum or steel systems tend to become unwieldy, the ISO-Fineline remains slender and elegant while maintaining the required strength. It therefore offers many architectural possibilities to create a strong structure with the narrowest possible appearance. A range of architectural styles is possible, from Bauhaus and loft living to the classic elegance of historic buildings and the industrial look."

Technical masterpiece

Nice example of a project incorporating the new system is the Orangerie Tuin van Lage Oorsprong in Oosterbeek. The design, by architect Gert Grosfeld, is a technical tour de force. The curves in the design mean that traditional masonry cannot be used, so all the stones will soon be suspended in a steel frame.

Click system

Besides the elegant look, there are more good arguments for using the facade system. For example, it has the highest insulation values for steel facades and the glazing bar system is clicked into the profiles instead of screwed. The advantage of this? "With this click system, the glass battens can be processed very quickly. Moreover, the blind fastening gives more freedom of form. Currently, we have five 'looks'; such as the angled putty, L-angle industrial, the elegant contour and the more standard angular versions."

At the Polyclose trade fair in Ghent (Hall 1 Stand No. 1724), RP Technik will present its RP-ISO-Fineline including the swing/tilt systems and newest line of doors consisting of several narrower variants.
