Blitta Facade Systems celebrates 150th anniversary

Blitta Facade Systems, a leading name in facade construction for 150 years, is celebrating a special milestone this year. Despite challenging times in the past, Blitta stands stronger than ever and looks to the future with confidence.

That may be celebrated

2024 at Blitta is dedicated to its 150th anniversary. During various events, innovation, expertise and growth of the past years will take center stage. With a large staff party and a relation day, among other things, all the people who contributed to this milestone will be put in the limelight. The relation event took place in September in Central Park in Utrecht, one of the many projects to which Blitta has contributed.  

The day began in Venray with a special celebration for staff, where the anniversary magazine 150 years of Blitta was presented. While enjoying a delicious treat, the team looked back on the company's rich history and shared plans for the future. On October 5, this will again be celebrated extensively with staff and former employees during the anniversary party. 

Later in the day, the anniversary magazine was also presented to our customers at the relationship event in Utrecht. Under the motto "Happy birthday, treats" all guests were treated to a specially brewed 150 years of Blitta beer. The drinks also celebrated the retirement of former director Henk Schamineé. 

Ready for the future

Over the past 150 years, much has changed in facade construction. Whereas Blitta once began with the production of steel stable windows, today the company manufactures complex facades made of aluminum.

Things have certainly not been easy over the past century and a half. Blitta has also known difficult times, but the company is now stronger than ever. Thanks in part to shareholder Van Berlo, Blitta can look to the future with confidence.

Future plans are already in place, including expansion into the UK market and broadening the product range to offer complete facade solutions. In addition, Blitta continues to grow and will move to new premises on January 1, 2026. These premises will offer more space, the necessary comfort and fit seamlessly with Blitta's vision and image.
