Bending and construction of aluminum window frames is specialist work

Through the use of advanced techniques, up-to-date know-how and in cooperation with customers, the innovative company RAHE Bending strives for high-quality final products. As a specialist in the bending, rolling and construction of aluminum profiles, RAHE supplies customized constructions to the facade industry, automotive, mechanical engineering and other industries.

"We are by far the only company in the Netherlands that bends window frame profiles. That requires craftsmanship," says Raoul Henderickx, owner and general manager of RAHE Bending. "The market is constantly changing and there are also new developments from the profile manufacturers. This creates the necessary challenges for our benders to keep the profiles nice and within tolerances. But because we keep our knowledge up to date and develop everything in-house with our large machine park, we can respond quickly to these developments."

Developments drive growth

"The developments contribute to the growth of RAHE Bending," says Henderickx. "Because we are by far the only one within the Netherlands who bends frame profiles, almost every demand in that area comes to us. To serve our customers even better in that, we acquired the Belgian bending company Sytelcom in December 2020. And right now we are expanding our Dutch branch."

Everything in-house

Henderickx indicates that many a structural engineer already knows RAHE Bending Works. "We have been supplying worldwide for more than 25 years and we make truly unique window frames for very diverse projects. This varies from single pieces to very large numbers, from fairly standard machining to truly daring pieces. Anything is possible with our advanced machinery. In addition to three CNC-controlled profile bending machines, we also have a CNC bending bench on which we can bend series. We also have machines available for Tig welding and cutting (both waterjet and laser beam). We also do the bending tooling development in-house, so that we are always perfectly in tune with market demand and our suppliers' developments." RAHE Bending works bends profiles from all system houses. With an in-house engineering department, RAHE Buigwerken now also focuses on bending facade cladding and developing facade cladding based on an architect's design.

Short lines, fast and solution-oriented

"We have a very close cooperation with a powder coating company where our products are powder coated Qualicoat. And we also have in-house transportation. That means we can deliver quickly and directly to the customer." Short lines, fast switching, in other words. But also low-threshold and solution-oriented. Henderickx cites some wonderful projects. "Whether unique specimens or large numbers, these examples give a good picture of what RAHE Buigwerken is capable of. For example, we worked on several projects in Amsterdam: such as project De Walvis -in collaboration with our client Aluverre Gevelbouw- where a dated office building underwent a major metamorphosis. For this we produced 295 round frames with a diameter of 560 mm fitted with a sash window. For our client Intal, we are currently working on the new construction project Cruquiusweg, for which we have produced no less than 527 curved window frames. And for our client Facadis Gevelbouw we have made 42 bombed window frames, in which bulb glass has been placed, for the apartment complex De Hooch in Amsterdam. For the largest shopping center in the Netherlands, The Mall of the Netherlands, we were allowed to supply the bending work together with our colleague bending contractor Kersten Group. Kersten Group supplied the heavy curtain wall profiles for this. In this way, a beautiful collaboration arose between us. All incredibly nice projects that we are proud of." RAHE Buigwerken is also fully engaged internationally, such as in Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, St. Maarten and London. "Too many to mention actually," says Henderickx and concludes, "but each and every one of these projects reflects the craftsmanship of the people of RAHE Bending Works."
