AGC introduces new coatings

Stopray Vision-52, Stopray Vision-52T, Stopray Vision-62 and Stopray Vision-62T

Glass facades that cover a large area require advanced glass that allows as much daylight into the building as possible while also minimizing the impact on the indoor climate. The solar control glazings Stopray Vision-52 and Stopray Vision-62, as well as the toughenable versions Stopray Vision-52T and Stopray Vision-62T, are new AGC products equipped with enhanced technology.

They are highly selective, thanks to their double silver coating, providing outstanding protection from heat and sunlight, thanks to a solar factor of 33% (Stopray Vision-62) and 27% (Stopray Vision-52). They also let through 62% and 52% of visible light, respectively, effectively harnessing daylight to provide spaces bathed in light all year round. With an insulation value (Ug) of only 1.0 W/(m2K), these glazings offer excellent protection against low temperatures, reducing heating costs and thus also protecting the environment.

The toughenable versions can be curved and achieve even higher values thanks to the application of screen printing and other techniques. The biggest advantage for applications in high-end architecture, however, is that the products can easily be placed side by side in the same façade, for example in a combination of flat and curved glass. This is possible because they have the same color-neutral appearance and color stability, even when viewed from an angle.
