Every conceivable type of wood as cladding

For 65 years Eppinga has been the supplier of wood and building materials in the Netherlands and Belgium with a huge stock of up to 15,000 m2. The warehouse in Drachten smells like wood. In its own ultra-modern sawmill and planing mill, Eppinga is able to process all kinds of wood into cladding, window frames or beams for use in the most diverse projects. This often leads to surprising end results.

The use of wood as cladding has been incredibly popular in recent years. "Architects nevertheless like to put their own stamp on a project," says Robbin de Roos of Eppinga. "We offer that flexibility with our own sawmill and planing mill. Our professionals can apply the desired profiling from rough planks with the utmost care. Really anything is possible, naturally fitting within the framework of the quality requirements for application as facade cladding."

Eppinga has all the knowledge and expertise to recommend the right type of wood cladding for each project.

Always the right advice

Eppinga's offering is enormous. "We draw largely from our own stock, but naturally we also make use of the expertise of our partners," states De Roos. "For example, for the thermal modification of wood or the coloring of boards. We gladly invite clients to view the possibilities in our large showroom where we show as many as 200 different types of cladding. We have all the knowledge and expertise to recommend the right type of wood cladding for each project. We like to take care of the complete picture from A to Z and offer our customers a total package, including transport to the site. We do this in the Netherlands and Belgium, but Germany is no problem either."

Off the beaten path

Eppinga has had the privilege of supplying many fine projects. De Roos gives some examples. "For example, we recently supplied the wooden cladding for a floating home in the Havenloft project in Rotterdam. A great reference, demonstrating the versatility of our woodworking department. The facades are constructed entirely in Alaskan Yellow Cedar in various profiles. We also dare to think outside the box with our clients. For example, we have executed the facades for project De Peinder Mieden in Opeinde, in the middle of a nature reserve, in Louro-Preto. A relatively unknown type of wood, but extremely suitable as cladding. With 65 years of experience in wood, we always know how to make the difference for our clients," concludes De Roos.
