Innovative additions to heroal shutter systems.

heroal roller shutter systems for recessed, front and surface-mounted roller shutters offer a suitable solution for all installation and erection situations and technical requirements. The product portfolio has now been expanded to include innovative new features that enable heroal partners to meet the most diverse customer requirements while offering greater functionality, efficiency and design variety.

With the new platform for corner end frames as right-rolling and left-rolling applications in surface-mounted or front cabinets, heroal supports the easy assembly of heroal shutter systems. The new heroal corner end frames are currently available as a version with a corner positioned at the bottom for a flush box closure. The mounting geometry of the end profiles is designed so that the corner profile can be used with both end profile base profiles (Mini and Maxi). The base and corner profiles simply snap together for easy assembly. A constructive solution when combining the two profiles prevents the corner profile from sliding sideways on the base profile.

heroal DRP (Driving Rain Proof) is a new platform of driving rain proof guide rails that can be used for different construction requirements thanks to three different variants. The density against driving rain is achieved by a Norseal^®-sealing tape. This makes the heroal DRP guide rail certified up to 600 Pa. The heroal DRP guide rail is mounted on the frame of the window system. It is compatible with the heroal cover caps of the hood box systems. In addition to the standard version of the guide rail HTF-DRP, there are two further distance variants to achieve a distance of 20 mm from the window. They are suitable for spacing leakage sills or drainage caps and can be clamped or screwed to the frame profile with clamping brackets. In addition, they are suitable for both positive run-in and rear insulation of the shutter box, as well as for negative run-in and rear-facing caps on the frame. Different walk-in funnels are available for both applications. Can also be used in combination with clamping frames for insect screen or revolving doors from the heroal IS system.

The new hood cabinet system heroal FMC (front mounted combination) is a combination of a roll-formed and an extruded hood. It is available for cabinet sizes 137 to 180 mm and is compatible with the cabinet shapes heroal FME 20°, 45° and 90°. Thereby, heroal FME hoods from the existing portfolio can be used. The new combination box for the installation of daylight-side front systems has been specially developed for applications with a visible extruded front hood, where a more economical solution is required than with a fully extruded system. An adapter profile is used for the connection between the roll-formed and extruded hood, which ensures that the front appearance of the hood is identical to that of the heroal FME hood system. Since the hood and adapter profile are coated in the same color, a harmonious appearance is created.

Because of the possibilities of integrating the Kaiser Nienhaus Easyline or Somfy RS 100 Solar solar motor, heroal shutter systems can be operated particularly energy-efficiently with a solar panel and without a separate power supply. The Kaiser Nienhaus Easyline and Somfy RS 100 Solar solar motor is available in 6 and 20 Nm versions. It can be operated via radio hand and wall transmitters. In case of insufficient sunlight, the roller shutter can still be operated for up to 100 cycles. Thanks to the battery integrated into the motor, the heroal IS insect screen system can be optionally integrated into the box.
