In modern architecture, large glass surfaces, which let in abundant daylight and provide transparency, are an important trend. At the same time, the demand is rising for effective sun protection that keeps the interior pleasantly cool even on hot days, still lets in plenty of light and blends in beautifully with the building envelope. With the external, textile sun protection systems from heroal, the requirements in residential and commercial construction can be met in various ways.

The zipscreen system heroal VS Z is an outdoor awning with a particularly robust zip guide. Thanks to zipper technology, it is ball-resistant and can withstand gusts of up to 145 km/h - even for generous awning areas up to 6 meters wide and 18 m² in size. The screen is guided in durable aluminum guide rails, which with a sight width of only 25 mm set a new benchmark on the market. They are bolted invisibly and can optionally be fully plastered to create a subtle look.

The shading system heroal VS is a variant of the heroal VS Z, where the screen is guided exclusively through the bottom rail. This makes the heroal VS ideal for applications where wind resistance is not a major factor.

A second variant is the shading system heroal VS C, which is equipped with a minimalist stainless steel cable guide. This sophisticated solution is particularly suitable for buildings where a narrow view width is required.

Heroal VS Z, heroal VS and heroal VS C can be seamlessly integrated into windows, doors and curtain wall systems from heroal and other manufacturers. In addition, elements of different heights can be connected in a continuous hood box. Thanks to discreet hood boxes with reduced dimensions, heroal's shading systems are also suitable for retrofitting, for example in a renovation project.

Textile solar powered sun protection system

The heroal VS Z solar-powered sun protection system combines the advantages of an innovative zipscreen with an integrated solar-powered motor. Since a mains connection is not required, this sun protection system is particularly energy-efficient and can be perfectly retrofitted. It is controlled wirelessly via remote control or a button on the wall. Thanks to the innovative zipper system, the heroal VS Z with solar drive is just as wind-resistant as the heroal VS Z. More than 250 high-quality textiles can be selected as standard.

Individually designed blinds

Shading systems from heroal offer maximum design freedom. For zip guide solutions, the aluminum guide rails are finished with the highly weather-resistant heroal hwr powder coating. Thereby almost all RAL colors and Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier are available. For a more striking look (wood, concrete, rust) the coating process heroal SD can be chosen.

The different types of textiles also offer numerous design possibilities. With more than 250 standard variants available, both aesthetic and functional shading solutions can be created. Semi-transparent screen fabrics provide protection from the sun while still allowing natural daylight to pass through. When complete blackout is desired, opaque fabrics block up to 100% of UV radiation.

Because the cloths are made of coated glass fiber or tensile polyester, depending on the type of textile chosen, they are water and dirt repellent, air permeable, UV and mold resistant. Thus they are a durable solution with a long service life and reliable functionality. PVC-free fabrics are also available upon request.
